Salary: $178,400 - 278,900 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, plus 6+ years of experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or a similar field
• Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, plus 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or a similar field
• PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, plus 4+ years of experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or a similar field
• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 6+ years of academic or industry software development experience
• Experience working on real codebases beyond coursework, internships, or prototypes
• Hands-on experience with the modern React ecosystem, including React Router v7, TanStack Query, and Tailwind
• Experience applying UX principles and user-centered design practices in product development
• Familiarity with Figma is an advantage
• Working knowledge of object-oriented programming and design concepts
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, with experience using React and modern frontend tooling such as Vite and React Router
• Backend development experience with Python
• Exposure to web frameworks such as Django is an asset
• Understanding of relational databases
• Basic experience or exposure to CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines
• Awareness of cloud platforms, particularly AWS

• Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services with guidance from senior team members
• Deliver new features and enhancements across existing systems using React/TypeScript frontends and Python backend services
• Participate actively in UX and design reviews
• Translate wireframes into polished user experiences
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, including unit and integration tests
• Build and consume RESTful APIs
• Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and recommend fixes for moderately complex problems
• Collaborate closely with teammates and cross-functional partners
• Contribute to code reviews with thoughtful, constructive feedback
• Document design choices, code updates, and operational considerations

We are Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., operating within our Engineering Group and Machine Learning Engineering area. Our Cloud Services team builds a modern cloud platform for preparing and testing ML models for Qualcomm hardware, using AWS, Kubernetes, a Python-based backend, and a React/TypeScript web frontend. The role is primarily focused on the frontend web interface while also contributing to the backend, and you will work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment with senior technical guidance, design/UX input, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
