UCO Industries is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides meaningful, integrated employment opportunities for people with developmental disabilities. With more than 120 associates and annual gross sales exceeding $15 million, UCO operates a diverse business portfolio that includes light assembly, repacking, warehousing, document destruction, donation processing for a local thrift store, and tier-1 automotive supply services.
Position Summary
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational leadership of UCO Industries. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will advance the organization’s mission, ensure regulatory and legal compliance, strengthen business performance, and cultivate a culture that values accountability, inclusion, and continuous improvement. This leader will guide the organization’s growth while building strong relationships with employees, customers, community partners, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide strategic leadership that advances UCO’s mission, vision, and long-term business objectives.
· Oversee the organization’s financial performance, operating results, and resource planning to support sustainable growth.
· Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and governance requirements, including timely filing of required documents and adherence to applicable laws and standards.
· Lead and develop the senior leadership team, foster accountability, collaboration, and high performance across the organization.
· Identify and pursue business development opportunities that align with UCO’s capabilities, mission, and growth strategy.
· Strengthen relationships with current customers while cultivating new partnerships within the business and community landscape.
· Serve as a visible and credible ambassador for UCO, effectively communicating the organization’s story, impact, and value proposition.
· Oversee operational excellence across production, materials management, quality systems, inventory practices, and workplace safety programs.
· Promote a workplace culture that supports employees with developmental disabilities through respect, inclusion, and meaningful employment opportunities.
· Use performance metrics and data-informed decision-making to drive continuous improvement and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree required; advanced education strongly preferred.
· At least 15 years of progressive senior leadership experience, including responsibility for organizational strategy, operations, and cultural leadership.
· Self-starter with demonstrated success leading an organization, division, or major business function with measurable results.
· Experience in business development, customer relationship management, or growth strategy preferred.
· Knowledge of manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, inventory systems, quality processes, or similar operational environments preferred.
· Familiarity with Ohio’s developmental disabilities service system is preferred, or a strong willingness to learn and engage with relevant community partners.
· Proficiency with Windows-based technologies and standard business software.
