WORSHIP LEADER
The worship leader at Citylight Fort Worth will have an opportunity to make a kingdom impact almost immediately. The worship leader will have an opportunity to consistently call a church, hungry to serve Jesus, to live a life of worship. This position will be attractive to an individual who is passionate about their faith, who has an evangelistic heart, and genuinely believes God will bless all nations through His son Jesus Christ. Every Sunday, the nations are gathering at Citylight for worship. Our church presents an opportunity for a gifted and passionate individual to serve Jesus in meaningful and practical ways.
A little about us:
Citylight Fort Worth is a church that has faithfully stood as a witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ on the west side of Fort Worth, TX for over 100 years. Our church recently walked through an intentional season of revitalization whereby we replanted the church. As such, we are much like a young church plant. We are experiencing renewed growth in our love for Christ. We are seeing the Holy Spirit move in fresh and redeeming ways within our church. God is actively growing our multi-ethnic church. We are seeing individuals from all walks of life gather with us for worship and be baptized into Christ. We believe the Gospel is for all generations and nations. This is why we seek to live out the commandment of “going to all nations!” We do not believe worship should start and stop. Instead we seek to disciple and train up our church to live their entire life for Christ. Our worship on Sundays is a reflection living a life of worship throughout the week.
The right fit:
In the simplest of ways, the worship leader will have to have a calling and passion to generally lead in worship. The right candidate needs to feel specifically led to worship at Citylight Fort Worth. This person must be committed to building up a multi-ethnic church. As such, the right person will have to be willing to adapt to better contextualize the Gospel. The right person will have to be a risk taker as we will try “new” things. The right person will have to have some entrepreneurial capabilities, as they will be asked to dream, plan, cast vision, and lead in ways that Citylight has yet to have built out. For the right candidate, this is one of the most exciting reasons to say yes! The right candidate will have the opportunity to put their fingerprint upon the way a church worships for the foreseeable future!
Most importantly and above all gifting and qualifications, the right fit must be a baptized professing follower of Jesus Christ. First and foremost, their relationship with Jesus must be their motivator.
WORK SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION: Part Time / Starting at $14,000 annually
