Locum Tenens Principal Investigator Houston, TX
Physician Resources, Inc. has been providing Locum Tenens and Direct Hire staffing since 1988. We are an industry leader and have been a member of NALTO since 2011.

Our client needs a locum tenens Family Practice or Internal Medicine Physician Principal Investigator to assist with research functions in their Houston clinic.

Location:Houston, TX

Hours:8 AM to 5 PM (Part-Time Hours Available)

Job Description:

This individual will conduct all clinical trials (studies) according to ICH GCP, local regulations, study protocol and company processes. Ensures the medical well-being and safety of the participants through the safe performance and execution of the studies. Assists in maintaining clinical oversight and quality on the studies registered on and delivers on study targets, thereby contributing to the commercial success of the site.

Role Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Valid Texas Medical License (FP, DO or IM Physician)
  • Board Certified
  • A medical license in good standing, with unrestricted ability to practice in place of work, where applicable.
  • Interprets protocols and IB and participates in initiatives to strategize for patient recruitment.
  • Reviews enrollment progress, pre-screening and screening success rates, screen failure rates, safety, and retention of participants.
  • Carries out clinical evaluation and assessment of participants to ensure eligible participants are enrolled onto studies.
  • Ensures and protects the welfare and safety of participants through ethical conduct.
  • Fulfills and comply with all medical duties as per protocol, SOP/COP and ICH GCP and local regulations.
  • Exercises meticulous attention to detail in documentation and patient care.
  • Clinical Research experience as a principal or sub-investigator required
