The Role at Glance:

We're looking for a creative and highly motivated Junior Environmental Graphic Designer to join our growing team in Seattle. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career designer who is passionate about signage, wayfinding, and branded environments and wants to work alongside an experienced design team.

You'll contribute to projects across a variety of sectors—including healthcare, corporate workplaces, commercial developments, and other built environments—helping create intuitive, engaging experiences through environmental graphics, signage, and wayfinding.

This role offers significant responsibility from day one with mentorship and opportunities to grow your technical and design skills.

In your new role, you will:

  • Develop creative concepts for environmental graphic design, signage, and wayfinding systems.

  • Prepare design presentations, concept packages, preliminary drawings, and construction documentation.

  • Assist in the design and documentation of signage programs from concept through implementation.

  • Collaborate closely with architects, interior designers, and project teams.

  • Produce compelling graphics and visual communications using industry-standard software.

  • Participate in design reviews and client presentations.

  • Research materials, fabrication methods, and production techniques for environmental graphics.

  • Support multiple projects across healthcare, workplace, commercial, and other market sectors.

What you will need to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related discipline.

  • 0–3 years of professional experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).

  • Environmental Graphic Design coursework or professional experience is a plus.

  • Strong visual design skills with an exceptional eye for typography, composition, and branding.

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

  • Comfortable presenting ideas through sketches, renderings, and graphic presentations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative studio environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

  • Experience with After Effects and Premiere Pro for motion graphics is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Revit and/or Rhino is preferred but not required.

  • Understanding of signage fabrication methods, materials, and construction documentation is a plus.

  • Experience designing for the built environment, architecture, or interior design is highly desirable.

The annual base pay range for this role is anticipated to be between $65,000 and $70,000. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.

This role requires the individual to be based in the United States.
