Job Title: Construction Laborer

Job Description

This Skilled Laborer role supports construction operations by working alongside internal crews to load and unload materials, mix concrete, and assist with site preparation and general labor tasks at various job sites. You will contribute to safe, efficient, and high-quality project execution both in the shop and out in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside internal employees to load and unload construction materials at various job sites.
  • Mix mud (concrete) according to specifications and assist in preparing for concrete pours.
  • Support concrete placement by helping set up forms, tools, and equipment as directed.
  • Perform general labor tasks such as site cleanup, material staging, and debris removal.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to support construction activities.
  • Assist carpentry and other trades with basic tasks under supervision.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including OSHA standards, while on site.
  • Maintain good attendance and arrive on time, prepared for work each day.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate clearly with supervisors.
  • Travel between the shop and field locations as required, using reliable transportation.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of construction or relevant experience.
  • Experience working with concrete, including mixing and handling materials.
  • General labor experience in a construction or similar environment.
  • Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in construction.
  • Familiarity with power tools and the ability to operate them safely.
  • Understanding of basic carpentry tasks and construction practices.
  • OSHA 10 certification or willingness to become certified.
  • Good attendance record and reliable transportation.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.

  • Previous experience on active construction job sites.
  • Comfort working both in a shop environment and outdoors in the field.
  • Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to perform a variety of labor tasks.
  • Commitment to safety and continuous learning, including obtaining OSHA 10 if not already certified.

Work Environment

You will work both at the shop and out in the field on active construction sites. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with the opportunity for up to 10 hours of additional work weekly. The role involves regular use of hand tools and power tools, handling concrete and construction materials, and performing physically active tasks in a variety of outdoor and indoor conditions. You will work closely with internal crews in a structured, safety-focused environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
